MegaConvert is run by a small team — not a chatbot, not an outsourced support farm. Whoever opens your message is the same person who can actually fix the bug you're reporting, add the format you're requesting, or look at the specific conversion you're struggling with. That means responses are sometimes slower than huge SaaS operations (target: two business days; sometimes faster, occasionally a day longer when bandwidth is tight) but the answer you get back is from someone who understands the system end to end.

What to include in your message. Bug reports get fixed dramatically faster when they include enough information for us to reproduce the issue locally. The four things we wish every report contained:
- The conversion URL (for example,
/convert/png-to-ico) — this tells us which converter pipeline you were using. - The source format and approximate file size — many bugs only surface above certain size thresholds.
- The target format and any non-default settings you selected.
- What happened versus what you expected — "the file was empty", "the colors were wrong", "it timed out after 30 seconds" — concrete observations beat "it didn't work".
We aim to respond within two business days. If you don't hear back in three, it's reasonable to assume the message ended up in spam or got buried — feel free to send a short follow-up. No offense will be taken.
Privacy and data subject requests

Because MegaConvert does not require an account and does not store the contents of converted files long-term, most data-subject requests can be answered immediately. The data we hold about an individual user is generally limited to: anonymous request logs (IP-truncated, retained for 30 days for abuse-prevention), and any email correspondence you have specifically chosen to send us. We do not build user profiles, do not run identity-tracking pixels, and do not sell data to third parties.
If you are exercising a GDPR or CCPA right (access, deletion, portability, opt-out of sale, etc.), please indicate which right you are exercising in the subject line so we can route the request quickly. Verification of identity is sometimes required for sensitive requests; we will tell you what we need rather than asking up front.
Abuse, DMCA, and legal correspondence
To report abuse of the service, submit a DMCA takedown notice for content believed to infringe a copyright, or for any other legal correspondence:

MegaConvert does not host user-submitted files publicly. Files are processed in-memory or in temporary storage and removed within one hour of upload, well before any indexable URL could be created. DMCA notices for indexed conversion pages (the public landing pages like /convert/png-to-jpg) generally describe a category of conversion rather than a specific user file, and we evaluate each notice on its merits. Frivolous or pretextual takedown attempts will be reported to the relevant authorities and your hosting provider.
We cooperate with law-enforcement requests through formal legal channels. Subpoenas, court orders, and other compulsory process should be sent to the abuse address; we will respond through counsel where appropriate.
Format requests
MegaConvert currently supports 157+ formats and over 2,600 conversion pairs. If a format you need is missing, we genuinely want to hear about it. Email christopherfloied@outlook.com with the subject line Format request and tell us:
- The exact format you want supported (extension and version, if relevant — e.g. "HEIC version 2" or "DOCX from Word 2019").
- The conversions you would actually use it for. "HEIC to JPG" is more useful than "please add HEIC."
- Any tools or libraries you know that handle the format reliably, especially open-source ones we could build on.
- Whether you have files we could test against, or test files you know are publicly available.
We prioritize new formats based on three factors: the number of distinct requests we receive, the availability of well-maintained open-source tooling for parsing and emitting the format, and how cleanly the format converts to and from existing supported formats. Some requests get implemented in a week; others sit in the backlog because the underlying tooling isn't reliable enough to ship.

We're happy to provide quotes, screenshots, technical detail, or comparisons against competing services for genuine editorial coverage. We're less interested in pay-for-play link-building arrangements; if your "partnership" pitch is really a sponsored backlink request, please save us both time and skip the email.
For developers and businesses interested in API access to the conversion infrastructure (programmatic conversion, batch jobs, higher rate limits), include details on expected volume, conversion types, and your use case. We do offer commercial arrangements for high-volume users.

For postal correspondence (legal notices, partnership documents), please first email christopherfloied@outlook.com so we can confirm a current mailing address. We do not publish a physical address on this page to reduce automated junk mail to a service that operates online. Real legal correspondence will reach us through the abuse address; everything else should go through email first.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't there a contact form on this page?
Forms are easier for us to read but worse for you to use — you can't reuse the message thread, can't attach files easily, and can't see your own message history. Email solves all of those problems and reaches the same inbox we'd use anyway.
How long does support take to respond?
Our target is two business days for the first response, often faster. Time zones matter — we're in North American hours, so messages sent from APAC or Europe during their local business day will sit overnight before we see them.
Is there phone or live-chat support?
Not currently. The economics of free converters don't support phone support, and live chat creates response-time expectations we can't consistently meet. Email gets the right answer to you faster than a queue of waiting messages on a chat widget.
Can you convert a file for me directly?
If you're hitting a specific bug we can sometimes ask you to send the problem file so we can reproduce it locally. We don't offer one-off paid conversions or custom-format handling outside the public converters.
